Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 31, 2026
The short version: this website has no forms, accounts, or patient portal, so the only information you can send through it is whatever you choose to put in an email or say on the phone. We use analytics to count visits and see which pages get read. We do not sell information about you.
Health information you share as a patient is governed by our Notice of Privacy Practices, not by this policy.
What this policy covers
This policy describes how NYC NP In Psychiatry PC (“we,” “us,” or “the practice”) handles information collected through this website.
It does not cover protected health information created or received in the course of treating you. That information is subject to HIPAA and to New York State law, and is described in our Notice of Privacy Practices, which the practice provides to patients directly. If you are already a patient, that notice is the document that governs your health records.
Information collected automatically
Like most websites, this one records basic technical information when you visit. That includes your approximate location (derived from your IP address, typically to the city level), the type of device and browser you are using, which pages you viewed, how long you stayed, and the site or search that referred you.
We collect this through the following services:
- Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics — measures visits and which parts of the site are used. This includes recording when a visitor clicks the call, email, or booking buttons, so we can tell which is useful. We record that a button was clicked, not who clicked it or what was said afterward.
- Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights — measures traffic volume and page loading performance.
We do not use this website to build advertising profiles, and we do not run advertising pixels that report your visit back to social media platforms.
Information you choose to send us
This website has no contact form, no login, and no patient portal. Nothing you type is transmitted to us by the site itself. The only ways to reach us from these pages are:
- Calling 212.951.1795, which opens your own phone application.
- Emailing caringets@gmail.com, which opens your own email application.
- Following the booking link to Grow Therapy, which is a separate company with its own privacy practices.
Please do not send detailed health information, and never send anything urgent, by email. Ordinary email is not a secure or confidential channel, and this inbox is not monitored continuously. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, or call 911 if anyone is in immediate danger.
Third-party services
Some links take you to companies we do not control. Once you leave this site, their policies apply rather than ours:
- Grow Therapy — handles online booking, insurance verification, and virtual sessions. Any information you enter there is held by Grow Therapy under its own privacy policy and its agreements with the practice.
- Google — hosts our business profile, patient reviews, and the map link to the office.
Cookies and similar technologies
The analytics services above set cookies or use similar browser storage to recognize a returning visitor and avoid counting the same person twice. You can block or delete these through your browser settings; the site works normally without them.
Most browsers also offer a “Do Not Track” setting. There is no industry-wide agreement on how sites should respond to it, and we do not currently change our behavior based on that signal. Blocking cookies in your browser is the more reliable option.
How we use this information
We use website information only to keep the site working, understand which content is worth keeping, and decide how people prefer to get in touch. We do not sell it, rent it, or trade it. We do not use it to make decisions about your care.
How long we keep it
Analytics records are retained according to the default retention periods of the services listed above and are not merged with patient records. Email and voicemail you send us are retained as long as needed to respond and, if you become a patient, may be filed in your clinical record — at which point the Notice of Privacy Practices governs.
Security
This site is served entirely over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). No website can promise perfect security, and as noted above, email you send us travels outside our control.
Children
The practice treats children aged 6 to 17, but this website is written for the adults arranging that care. We do not knowingly collect information from children through the site.
Your choices
You can browse without contacting us, block cookies in your browser, or use a browser extension that blocks analytics. If you would like to know what health information we hold about you as a patient, or ask us to correct it, those rights are described in the Notice of Privacy Practices.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. Material changes will be described here rather than made silently.
